Entry Criteria for Professional Accounting at Fanshawe College

You must meet some conditions to be eligible to enroll in this professional accounting program. 

  • A college diploma or a degree with at least a C+ average or
  • An acceptable combination of related work experience and post-secondary education
  • A resume and cover letter if the college asks for the documents
  • Proof of English competency.
    • For now, Filipino citizens do not have to submit the result of an English language exam.
    • But, if you plan to apply under the Student Direct Stream, you must get at least 6.0 in all bands of the IELTS.

Fanshawe College recommends that you develop skills in the following areas before entering the graduate certificate in professional accounting program.

  • Business Communication.
  • Use of computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

You will use Microsoft Excel and other software. Fanshawe College, though, advises its students to postpone buying a laptop. The college will recommend the model of the computer, how you should configure it, and software titles.
