U.S. Filing Fee to Increase July 2016

U.S. Filing Fees To Increase in July 2016

Get ready to pay more to sponsor your relatives or employees in the U.S.

For children of Filipino War Veterans, they have to pay the increased fee to apply for the Advance Parole.  However, the ability to join the sponsoring parent in the U.S. would have invaluable benefits for being reunited faster.

Starting July this year, the filing fees for sponsoring spouse, children, parents, brothers, sisters as well as employees to the U.S. will be a little bit more expensive.

While the US Citizenship and Immigration Services preface the increased filing fees as “proposed” the indicated increase are almost always implemented.

Publication of the proposed fees in the Federal Register allows the public and stakeholders to comment within 60 days.   The fee changes do not take effect until after the rule making process is completed.
