The latest immigration and visa news for the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and select European countries - straight from the leading immigrant advocates in the Philippines.

UK Visa Fees June 25, 2018

Calling the visa fees charged by the Home Office for immigrants and their dependents, Members of the Parliament have called for an inquiry to determine the fairness of the charges. For Philippine applicants we have compiled the current visa fees for easy and immediate reference.

UK Visa Fees June 25, 2018

Members of UK parliament have decried the exorbitant fees that the Home Office is chargin for visas and immigration fees.  Read the Guardian report herehttps://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/jun/24/reduce-home-office-fees-say-mps-campaigners

As migration advocates, we checked th,e current visa charges for Philippine applicants intending to visit, study, work and apply for settlement.  Our observation:

  1.  The UK Home Office website requires specific visa category. While that is good, getting the visa fees would have been easier if the Home Office provide a link to the current listing for all categories instead of forcing one to go through the hoops.
  2. If you wish to copy and paste it to your laptop (or God forbid a device, e.g., tablet or phone) the format would be extremely difficult to maintain in your device or gadget.
  3. Consequently, the Visa Application Center for the UK Embassy in the Philippines have revised their courier services accordiingly. -explaining that "Regulations were laid in Parliament today, Thursday 7 September, which set out a change to the immigration and nationality fees. The main change is the introduction of a new Home Office exchange rate policy for immigration applications."

We, therefore, copied the current visa fees for Philippine applicants who might be seeking to visit (short or long-term) study, work or settle permanently in the UK – to save our Friends and the Migrant community precious time and effort,.
