The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) offers permanent residency pathway for those already in the province as recent graduates, skilled workers, businesspeople and their families or Skilled Workers Overseas who may apply directly with any of Manitoba’s pathways including the to be announced MPNP Renewal.
The MPNP for Skilled Workers is locally driven and based on the needs of Manitoba employers. Internationally trained and experienced workers who have the skills needed in the local labour market are selected and nominated to receive Canadian permanent resident visas to settle and work in Manitoba. There are two streams:
Manitoba nominates applicants who have a strong connection to the province through ongoing employment and sufficient skills, education and training, work experience and official language proficiency to make an immediate and ongoing contribution to the Manitoba economy and the provincial community at large.
Skilled Workers in Manitoba undergo a three-step process:
STEP 1. Submit an Expression of Interest
STEP 2. Get invited to submit an MPNP application if applicant is among the highest-scoring qualified candidates with a connection to Manitoba.
STEP 3. Be nominated as a successful candidate after a thorough assessment, then make a separate application to the Government of Canada for permanent residency (for applicant and qualified family members).
Like the Skilled Workers in Manitoba, potential candidates go through the same 3-stem process.
2. International Education Stream, (IES - For international students graduating in Manitoba and meeting the needs of industry.

3. Business Investor Stream
The renewed Business Investor Stream will replace the current PNP-B business immigration category. BIS allows Manitoba to recruit and nominate qualified business investors and entrepreneurs from around the world who have the intent and ability to start or purchase businesses in Manitoba. Applicants will no longer be required to submit a deposit of $100,000 to the Manitoba government.
