Australia's Combined List Eligible Skilled Occupations March 2018
The current list of eligible occupations, published by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA), can help you determine whether you qualify for the visa subclass you intend to apply for.
Each occupation is followed by which list that occupation may apply for e.g., Short Term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL); Medium and Long Term Skills Shortagea List (MLTSSL) or Regional. The Visa Subclasses is followed by the designated Assessing Authority for each occupation.
In certain instances, some occupations could apply for several visa subclassess: Film Editor for example, may apply under the following: Subclass 190 Skilled Nominated or; Subclass 407 Training Visa or; Subclass 489 Skilled Regional (Provisional). The assessing authority for each occupation (in this case VETASSESS) remains the same though, regardless of which visa subclass a Film Editor chooses to apply for.
