It looks like people who currently have Express Entry applications to Saskatchewan didn't need to wait too long! Saskatchewan opened its Immigrant Nominee Program on January 5, 2016, under the International Skilled Workers – Express Entry Category and the application quota as of now is 500. For those waiting in line, this is now your chance to lodge your application under Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category. Who knows your application might be the next one to be nominated under this program.
You can apply under this sub-category if you live outside of Canada or have proof of legal status in Canada and you meet the following criteria:
Must obtain at least 60 points out of 100 on the SINP point assessment grid
Must have a valid language test result
Must have completed a minimum of one year post-secondary education or training which is comparable to the Canadian education system and has resulted in a degree, diploma, certificate or a certificate equivalent to a trade certificate (that is verifiable)
Must have a minimum work experience related to your field of education or training
Must have proof of settlement funds and a settlement plan
