Immigration Act of Canada - the Bible of Canadian Immigration Law.  Full title is Immigration and Refugee Protection Act or IRPA came into force on June 28, 2002. IRPA provides the framework for implementing the goals and guidelines the Canadian government regarding immigration into Canada by foreign residents. The Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) on the other hand, specifies how IRPA is to be implemented.
