January 2013 Visa Numbers

For Filipinos, Chinese, Indians, Mexicans and other nationalities waiting for the much-awaited immigrant visa interview date, we are sharing the State Department’s Visa Bulletin for January 2013.

Remember that even if your priority date is not yet current – but within six months of becoming so – it is essential that you obtain the documents to establish your eligibility as well as the petitioner’s continuing eligibility to sponsor you.

Some factors that will affect your visa petition is the change in the petitioner’s immigration status (from green card holder to US citizenship); turning 21 of visa beneficiaries; change in marital status of the visa beneficiary; death of the petitioner; change in domicile of the petitioner; loss of citizenship of petitioner; lack of income of petitioner or lack of joint-sponsor;  death of the principal applicant or death of the spouse of the principal applicant.
